Turks and Caicos Islands continue to grow as a popular beach destination for couples, families, and groups.
The country’s natural beauty draws in visitors from around the world to walk along the white sand beaches and swim in crystal clear waters. The presence of luxury hospitality makes perfect sense to create extraordinary experiences for guests—and there is a real effort to include residents in the sector so that they may also benefit from the economic activity.
Construction along Grace Bay is preparing for an influx of tourists and expat communities in the coming years. Several signs dot the beach, each with a different logo and virtual mockup of a well-designed, multi-story building with oceanfront views.
While most real estate focuses on upscale hotels, residences, and private villas, it’s a given that there will be a higher demand to build more—restaurants are the first thing that come to mind.
Thankfully, most hotels and resorts have recognized the importance of having excellent food and beverage programs available on property that offer both local-inspired and international cuisine. Visitors who are seeking to venture outside of where they are staying will be warmly welcomed by other properties—and more importantly, can find incredible food and experiences within walking distance or a short cab ride away.
My husband and I spent two weeks at Providenciales for our honeymoon. When we weren’t relaxing by the beach or sailing, we were off to our next dinner reservation.
We revisited a few favorites from our last visit in 2023 and also had the pleasure of exploring new places.

FAQs for Dining in Turks and Caicos
What types of cuisine should I expect to find in Turks and Caicos?
Visitors can expect to find a lot of local seafood dishes, especially conch, grouper, and lobster, depending on the time of year.
Restaurants are highly considerate of international visitors, so there are plenty of Mediterranean and European dishes available at most establishments.
What is the recommended dress code for restaurants in Turks and Caicos?
While most restaurants are forgiving, resort casual or smart casual is appreciated for dinner.
For men, I would recommend linen or slub cotton collared shirts, linen or cotton twill pants, and leather sandals or closed-toed shoes.
For women, I would recommend pants, shirts, and dresses made of linen, slub cotton, or silk with leather sandals or closed-toed shoes.
I would avoid wearing swimwear, casual tank tops, graphic t-shirts, and denim shorts to dinner.
Are restaurants in Turks and Caicos family-friendly?
Yes.
Where is the highest concentration of bars and restaurants in Turks and Caicos?
Grace Bay is home to most of the restaurant scene in Turks and Caicos for visitors. However, The Bight Settlement, Blue Hills, Sunset Cove, and Long Bay Beach each have popular restaurants that are either a longer walking distance or a cab ride away, depending on where you’re staying.
After dinner, is there any nightlife in Turks and Caicos?
Not really. While certain bars and restaurants do have live music during peak season, it’s common for most places to close down between 10-11 PM. There are no clubs—at least none for tourists—at the time of writing.
How much does dinner cost in Turks and Caicos?
Food prices in Turks and Caicos are influenced by the high cost of imported goods.
A couple can expect to spend an average of $250-$300, including a 20% tip, depending on the number of appetizers and drinks ordered throughout the meal.
