The pop-up exhibit features British photography alongside Burberry’s 2017 September collection

I was scrolling through my Instagram Stories this Sunday night when I stumbled upon Madame Figaro’s update—a behind-the-scenes look of Here We Are, Burberry’s pop-up exhibit in Republique.

It’s always such a thrill finding new fashion exhibits in Paris, especially when a fashion house hosts a large exhibit for free admission.

The exhibit has three levels that blend the photography and the collection. Each section is thematically arranged by classic British symbols such as London (*party*) and Outdoors (English garden, polo).

The vacant warehouse location for Here We Are may seem a bit random, but it was a perfect strategy. Why?

Upon entry,  you are immediately transported to a satellite London showroom. There is nothing in the warehouse that distracts from Burberry’s collection or the featured photographs—it’s all about experiencing what it means to be British.

The only thing that reminds you that you’re in Paris is the view of the Eiffel Tower from the upper levels.

Here We Are was put together under the direction of Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer and President Christopher Bailey, curator Lucy Kumara Moore, and photographer Alasdair McLellan. Learn more about how Here We Are came together in this i-d article.

Here We Are is on view through Sunday, Feb. 4 at 11 rue Beranger. Free admission. Visit the exhibit website for more information.
