"Never Gonna Change" by BROODS

I don’t normally share the complete song lyrics in these posts, but this song in particular has been on replay in my mind for a while. BROODS‘ Evergreen album, as well as Tove Lo’s debut album, have been the soundtrack to my life for the past two months. You’re pushing down on my shouldersAnd emptying […]

Arbonne FC5 Exfoliating Body Scrub

As an Arbonne consultant, I keep a stock of samples for clients to try out. I currently have samples of the FC5 skincare line, the RE9 anti-aging line, and a variety of cosmetics, but I will continue to build my sample range. In the meantime, it only makes sense to try the products so I […]

Falling In Love with Arbonne

Earlier this month, I became an independent consultant with Arbonne, a 34-year old health and wellness company dedicated to bringing customers the best products in cosmetics, skincare and weightloss. I have always been skeptical of direct marketing “schemes,” but Arbonne is set up in such a way that its not just about selling botanically-based, vegan […]

Emma Watson HeForShe Speech at the United Nations

Earlier this week, actress and activist Emma Watson gave a powerful speech at the United Nations about eliminating gender inequality and building a more balanced relationship between men and women. The more I’ve spoken about feminism, the more I have realized that fighting for women’s rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there […]

Choose Love Before Everything

Things have changed since the last blog post. Over three weeks ago, my family and I have experienced a tragic loss. I don’t feel that it’s appropriate to divulge such details across the social media world–in doing so would be irreverent and disrespectful–but I want to thank friends and family who have reached out and […]

The Neighbourhood at Lupo’s

Last night, my brother Adam and I went to “Night Zero” of 95.5 WBRU’s 44th Birthday Bash at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel, featuring The Neighbourhood and Little Daylight. It was the first time I’ve been to Lupo’s, something I’ve wanted to do for ages.  We parked at the Providence Place parking garage and walked over to Lupo’s […]

"Bleeding Out" Imagine Dragons

I’ve finally gotten over replaying “Demons” by Imagine Dragons to explore their other singles off  the band’s album, Nightvisions… Now “Tiptoe,” “Amsterdam,” and “Bleeding Out” have been on replay instead. I really enjoy the band’s sound a lot, the way it balances a familiar pop-ish beat, but offers an edge with their vocals and instrumentals.

Miracle Mile

In case you haven’t heard it already: Miracle Mile by Cold War Kids. It didn’t click to me what the real song title was for a while because I just kept singing “come up for air.” Cold War Kids will be performing at the 95.5 WBRU summer concert series in July–wish I could go!

Sweet Berry Farm

On Monday, I had a meeting at Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown. I had never been before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect… I was pleasantly surprised to find how amazing it is. Even though I arrived early, I did not walk around the fields–after all, I wasn’t there to go strawberry picking–but I […]
