About & Qualifications
For those of you coming here for the first time, my name is Mia, and I am a Francophile based in Fairfield, CT.
In addition to having studied French in high school and college (Salve Regina University), I lived in Paris, France, for 2.5 years and completed an immersive French language program at Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne, a renowned French language school in the heart of the Left Bank.
Besides teaching conversational French, my professional background is in luxury retail and wine and spirits.
Services & Specialties
Conversational French (Adults)
Customized lesson plans may include topics such as Travel & Transport; Cocktail Hour Conversation; and French Food & Wine. While proper grammar usage is important, I prioritize pronunciation, building conversational skills, and culture.
French Homework Help (Grades 6-12)
A traditional approach to the French language that balances grammar, reading comprehension, and pronunciation while completing homework assignments.
