Get your daily dose of French on your Instagram feed

If you want to learn a new language, living in the home country is the ideal situation, followed by taking courses, hiring a private tutor, watching films, listening to podcasts, or reading magazines.

The most important thing is to make sure you’re actively engaging with the language every day.

It can be difficult to improve your French language skills when you’re not living in France, but it doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.

Engaging with the French language by following French language influencers is a great supplement to formal courses. You can easily enrich your vocabulary and learn how words and phrases are used in real life with cultural context—most of the Instagram influencers listed below also offer French courses of their own!

Best Instagram Accounts to Learn French with Online Classes and Digital Guides

@hellofrench

With over 2 million followers across all social media platforms, Hello French has an inclusive approach to learning French as a second language. Co-founders Cécilia Jourdan and Criselis Pérez used their own experiences learning second languages with their passion for French culture to create the Hello French community.

Hello French is based in New York City and offers online classes, digital guides, and private French lessons.

@frenchisbeautiful

Founded by California native Carrie Anne James, French Is Beautiful has thoughtfully developed French lessons with a winning combination of care and culture. Carrie Anne is bilingual, has lived in Paris for many years, and has grown her business into an incredible community built upon love and passion for integrating French language and culture into everyday life.

Carrie Anne offers lessons online and hosts occasional meet-ups in France and the United States.

@atfrenchies

Two best friends from Paris, Alexandre and Tom, built an incredible brand dedicated to bringing French language and culture to the United States. Most recently, the duo covered the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States and released their first book, Pardon Our French: The Parisian Way to a Happier Life.

AT Frenchies offers online classes, masterclasses, specialty workshops, and more on their website.

@btchyfrench

One of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow; idioms in another language aren’t usually discussed in formal French lessons, so this Frenchman from La Rochelle (Jacques) puts a fun spin on teaching French phrases that French people actually use.

@lerendezvous_paris

A female-founded community based in Paris focused on teaching French to Anglophones living in the City of Light itself. Founder Léon Chevy studied at La Sorbonne before spending a decade living in New York City before returning to Paris. Léon runs Rendez-vous Paris with her best friend, Ella Herme, who met while attending La Sorbonne. Rendez-vous Paris offers lessons in Paris, France, and online.

Additional Instagram Accounts to Follow for French Culture

@mylittleparis

My Little Paris is similar to The Everygirl in the United States, except it’s focused exclusively on Parisian living. If you’re looking to learn French from an authentic lifestyle perspective—especially if you’re an intermediate or advanced French speaker—reading articles published on My Little Paris will be extremely helpful.

@frenchwords

Although the account is not as active as it once was, I always loved the account’s simple presentation of French words and phrases with its minimal aesthetic and playful details.

Another account I started following when I was learning French; seeing the artistic display of French words on building signs encourages you to look up from your phone and pay attention to what’s around you.
