After this winter, it feels like it took forever for the weather to warm up and for the flowers to bloom. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing Japanese cherry blossoms in full bloom… Except for a box macarons, of course.
Considering how long it has taken for Mother Nature to be kind this spring–loads of snow, wind, and rain–today was definitely one of the nicest days of the year so far. Even better, it was the perfect day for a lunch at Castle Hill Inn for Newport Restaurant Week with Ryan. With the exception of […]
Spring has finally sprung. Spring ahead, fall behind. Swing into spring! Whatever phrase you prefer, there was no denying spring arrived today in Newport! I went for a drive on Ocean Drive a few days ago and I finally snapped a picture of this part of the road. This is my favorite house on Ocean […]
I really dropped the ball on blogging this week, so I’ll spare you the details and stick to pictures: The Elms Mirrors on the wall at Steph’s Pour Judgment on Broadway Cod on couscous, mushrooms and spinach Bella sitting on my coat before heading to work, while Emma (top left) and Maddie pace by the […]
Being back home is nice, but it means that it’s time to get a little more serious about the last semester: thesis, work, interning, networking and job hunting. If you’re a fan of The Great Gatsby, the Jane Pickens Theater has a “Great Gatsby Experience” package deal in August:. For $20, you can have a watch a screening of The Great Gatsby (1974) and tour Rosecliff, the Bellevue mansion where the movie was filmed. I went to the first screening yesterday–watching the original […]
Yesterday, I had gone to Crosswynds Traders in Narragansett to do the usual once-a-week visit for social media and, as usual, I spoke with Chris, the owner. Unbeknownst to me, it was Chris’s birthday. I must have been there for at least an hour in the store until I realized, and by the time I […]
While I was at The Apothecary Newport, I made the impulsive decision that it was time to get a perfume. I used to wear body sprays from Bath and Body Works or CVS, but today, I was suddenly possessed with the idea that I needed to find a signature my fragrance. The Apothecary carries philosophy […]
